New Year; New Habits

I just booked my first cake for 2011! It's a Yo Gabba Gabba Foofa cake for a three-year-old's birthday party. It needs to feed about 50 kids. Wow!

The date? 1/1/11. Yup, I will be working when the ball drops. I know some people would feel sorry for me, but it was my choice and I really don't want to do anything this year. I don't want to get dressed and go out. I don't want to spend the money at some awesome party. I don't want to plaster on a smile on my face while I chug down champagne (something I really DON'T like) when the clock strikes twelve, pretending that I'm having a good time. Really, let's be honest. Nothing is more lonely than being single on New Years Eve, surrounded by many non-single folks.

I'd rather start the New Year with a piping bag in my hand, a ponytale in my hair, and some bad pop music blasting on my iPod.

Tis the season...

  1. First of all, A giant Yo Gabba Gabba cake sounds awesome. I don't watch the show alot, but I do want a Brobee Hoodie. And second, if all the rest of us single people have to suffer and get sloshed, why shouldn't you? The whole point is to suffer together and have fun and possibly make out with that stranger who looks like Scarlett Johansson if you squint a little. :D

Well I hope at least you're having fun baking instead of hate-baking on New Years. Happy Twenty-eleven!

  2. Making out with the girl that kinda looks like Scarlet Johanson would def be enough incentive to lure me out. If I had a more fun crowd to party with, I'd be more excited. However, I'm sandwiched between a very much in-love couple and a sloppy lush. I kinda want to put my depression drinking behind me.

I don't hate-bake. It ruins the finished product. Only happy thoughts in my Dungeon!

  3. A "sloppy lush" sounds like a good drink or a bad sex position. I would try both. Sorry you don't have more funner single people to hang out with! There should be a club like that for people like us :/

Happy thoughts in a dungeon sounds like an oxymoron, but then that could just be a really fun time in a dungeon. ^_^

  4. my = me

Typing faster than my brain can think sometimes has me mixing up my "my's" and "me's".
